labels_pureargentinawines_valleperdidomalbecreserve_06_newscenterValle Perdido Malbec Reserve 2006 has been recognized by the Wine Advocate with a 91-point rating.  The Malbec Reserve, aged 14 months in French and American oak, is crafted by winemakers Alberto Antonini and Hector Durigutti, in the distant reaches of the 39th southern parallel in Patagonia, Argentina.  Wine Advocate reviewer Jay Miller added the following on the 2006 vintage:

Valle Perdido Malbec Reserve 2006 – 91 Points

“The nose of smoke, pencil lead, violets, black cherry, and plum jumps from the glass. Medium- to full-bodied, it has loads of rich fruit, savory, spicy flavors, ripe tannins, good balance, and a pure finish. Give this pleasure-bent Malbec 2-3 years to fully blossom and drink it from 2011 to 2018.”
