Côtes du Ventoux 2007

Côtes du Ventoux stubbornly upholds the French tradition, blending the noble Syrah (the “original” Shiraz) with the playful Grenache, sourced from the Ventoux vineyards of the Rhône Valley. Though spunky and energetic, Côtes du Ventoux has a serious side and sports a bit of a kick. Opening notes of fresh berry fruit aromas and flavors evolve to smoky-spicy elements typically seen from the terroir of Southern France. Comfortable at a formal table with top cuts of grilled meats, or meaty pastas.

TASTING NOTES
Eye: deep, with purple tints
Nose: powerful aromas of black currant and blueberry, with hints of spices and cinnamon.
Palate: a full-bodied and well-structured wine, with elegant tannins.
