Heritages Blanc 2007

Ogier has remained a family winery since 1859. Today it is the oldest and largest wine cellar in the historic community of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which was the summer residence of the Popes from 1309 to 1378. Now Ogier has been inspired to capitalize upon its special access to the best winegrowing estates by creating a new Côtes-du-Rhône cuvée called “Heritages”, a tribute both to the winery owners and to the 2000-year history of winemaking in the region. These three Heritages des Caves des Papes wines express the power and personality of the finest Côtes-du-Rhône varietals and also the unique and uncompromising winemaking tradition of Ogier.

TASTING NOTES
Eye: pale yellow color with green hues.
Nose: delicate nose, dominated by complex aromas of white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear) and flowers.
Palate: the body is elegant and fruity, showing good balance between roundness and acidity. The Viogner adds a uniquely bright and floral characteristic.
